This morning, Google announced a new feature, A Google A Day. It’s a little bit of trivia and a little bit of showing off what Google does best – search. Progressing like newspaper crossword puzzles, the trivia will get more difficult as the week progresses. You can visit AGoogleADay.com in order to see each daily puzzle.
Along with the question appearing below the search box, the page includes Deja Google – the Google search engine without the real-time updates and other updates that would put spoiler-filled answers at the top of your search results. The only thing I would change about a Google a day is to have somewhere to submit your answer instead of just revealing the answer. The Show answer is nice, however, because it covers how to find the answer.
If you’re using iGoogle and you try to visit the trivia site, you may keep getting redirected back to iGoogle. You’ll need to click the gear in the top-right corner and choose ‘Classic Home’. You should then be able to go to aGoogleaday.com.
