How to Reset the iPhone Passcode [Tutorial]

Good news for iPhone users. If you have forgotten the Passcode of your iPhone then don’t worry you can easily reset the Passcode of your iPhone by using iPhone recovery mode. If you don’t know how to reset the iPhone Passcode then simply follow the step by step instructions posted below in order to reset the passcode of your iPhone. Now follow the steps carefully.

How to Reset the iPhone Passcode

STEP 1. First you have to disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone.
STEP 2. Now you have to launch iTunes.
STEP 3. In order to turn off your iPhone you have to press and hold the Home and Power button on the top of the iPhone.
STEP 4. At the time while you reconnect the USB cable to your iPhone, simply press and continue to hold the Home button, this will make your iPhone to on.
STEP 5. You have to hold the Home button until iTunes shows an alert message that iPhone in recovery mode has been detected. As you can see in the below image.

STEP 6. After the iPhone is in recovery mode, you have to restore your iPhone. Follow the steps to restore your iPhone.
  • You have to look under the “Summary” tab from iTunes
  • Within iTunes you have to click on the “Restore” button
STEP 7. Once the restore is finished, your iPhone will be at the factory settings.
STEP 8. Now you can choose restore the iPhone from a backup or you can choose to start from scratch.
That’s it. In this way you can Reset the Passcode of your iPhone. You should remember you will loose all your data stored on your iPhone as you have to restore your iPhone or iPod touch.
