Now Facebook Admins can Unmerge their Merged Places Pages

In response to the request of page admins, Facebook has given Facebook Page admins the ability to unmerge their business’ Facebook Page with their Facebook Place Page. This matter was first noticed by several unhappy Facebook Page admins. Now you can find the “Unmerge all merged Places” option at the bottom of the left-hand Page admin menu. It is yet to be rolled out completely, but any admin can reverse the process, if he regrets merging his Pagespages.


Admins of merged Place Pages now see the “Unmerge all merged Places” that lies at the bottom left of their Page. When clicked on it, the following confirmation message displays:

In August, Facebook first offered the merge feature. This feature allowed business to have a single Page to represent their brand. Some businesses were unhappy because they wanted both a Facebook Page and a Places Page. They were also not happy with the merged Pages that didn’t allow for default landing tabs, an important feature to many Page admins.
