There’s a new trend spreading throughout Facebook: users switching their profile pictures to photos of their favorite cartoon characters. The rules of this new game vary from one person to the next, however it appears that participants are supposed to switch their profile photo at some point between the 12th of November and the 30th.
Status updates that we've found are all similar to the following one:
NewGame: Change your profile picture to your favorite cartoon from when you were a kid. The goal of this game is not to see a human picture on Facebook, but an invasion of childhood memories until Monday. PLAY AND PASS ALONG!
Other updates include the dates of this new game. Whether or not the dates are included in the updates this appears to be a pretty harmless game which is pretty fun. Also, just about anybody can name a cartoon that they watched when they were a kid. If you want to participate just post the status update above and change your profile photo to a cartoon character!
